Day 1 Arrival kolkata
Arrive Kolkata by flight,TBA.After clearing customs and immigration you will be met by a representative of “India Guru – Gainwell” in the arrivals area.A traditional Indian welcome includes tilak and fresh flower garland.You will be transferred to your hotel in an air conditioned vehicle. Check into your hotel on arrival for overnight stay.
Day 2 Kolkata
After breakfast we enjoy a walking tour of Kolkata – India’s most fascinating city.The afternoon is free to explore Esplanade square where you will find hawker markets, local eateries and handicraft emporiums. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 Kolkata-Guwahati – Kaziranga (approx 4 hours)
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport to board your flight to Guwahati. On arrival drive to Kaziranga. check into your hotel near the Kaziranga Park for an overnight stay.Kaziranga National Park lies partly in Golaghat District and partly in Nagaon District of Assam. It is the oldest park in Assam and covers an area of 430 Sq kms along the river Brahmaputra. One can even see the rhinos and wild elephants straying near the highway.
Day 4 Kaziranga
A very early start this morning to enjoy an elephant ride at the park.Return to Hotel for breakfast.After breakfast we take a Jeep Safari to the central range for an opportunity to view the wildlife in the park.Lunch is back at the hotel followed by an afternoon Jeep Safari to the Western ranges.Overnight back at the hotel.
Day 5 Kaziranga – Shillong(approx 6 hours)
After breakfast check out and drive to Shillong,the abode of clouds.On arrival check into your hotel.Overnight at Hotel .
Day 6 Shillong
A half day sightseeing tour this afternoon covers Ward’s Lake, Don Bosco Church, Shillong Peak, Elephanta Falls and the local market (closed on Sundays).Overnight at your Shillong hotel.
Day 7 Shillong – Guwahati – Onward Journey
After breakfast we check out and drive back to Guwahati airport to board flight to Kolkata. On arrival at Kolkata airport please transfer to the International airport to check in for your flight for onward journey.
